Kokarje

The people of this area and its surroundings engaged in the production of pottery as the poor rural property did not give them enough to survive. In the written sources from 1340 are mentioned potters Mihael and Konrad. Numerous sources about pottery with characteristics of homemade handicrafts date from the 18th century. In the 19th century, with development of commerce the pottery gradually degraded. The last potter’s trade in Potok stopped in 1931.
